How to Fake Food Photography Like a Pro

how to take iphone photos

I'm a visual person. I love looking at beautiful things that inspire me. I like to think I've got pretty good taste--but I am definitely NOT a photographer. That's actually good news for you though, because it means if I can take pretty pictures for Instagram, so can you! This is a realllly simple tutorial (and yes, that is my baby crying in the background, my sister's wedding announcement on the fridge, and holy cow my top knot is falling over...) but I thought it may be helpful for you to see just how, well, not pretty, things look behind-the-scenes, and help you to create some beautiful images as well-- with nothing but dollar store foam board and your iphone. #winning

P.s. I don't mention it in the video, but the two apps I use for editing are VSCO cam (to adjust exposure) and then Snapseed (for temperature, brightness, and selective adjust). Happy shooting!
